The X-Files | Upfronts + David and Gillian

You'd think FOX and NBC's Upfronts would be the talk of the fandom right now, but no. Something magical happened at 2 am (UK time), just as I was going to sleep but made me nearly pull an all nighter. But we'll get to that later.

I've never sat through a live stream before, so sitting through an hour and a half of extremely shitty previews for upcoming shows on FOX shows how much of a dedicated fan I am for X-Files since they decided to leave that till the very end. Duchovny had been at the Upfronts since the morning (I think) with NBC promoting Aquarius, and Anderson showed up just as the FOX Upfronts began. Although neither of them seemed to be seen hanging around, until Anderson tweeted this beauty:

That was honestly the highlight of the night. That was it. FOX finally got around to announcing X-Files' revival, with a 60 second apperance from Duchvony, Anderson and Chris Carter after showing a small 'look back' which was actually pretty emotional. No one said anything apart from Carter, then they walked off. It was so anti-climactic but so, so GOOD.

Then came last night or if we're being honest here, this morning. Just as I was about to go to bed, everyone literally lost their shit as Duchovny was performing at one of his concerts promoting his debut album ('Hell or High Water'), and Anderson turned up on stage. And they kissed. Not once, but twice. They also sung a rendition of Neil Young's 'Helpless' together, and Anderson played tambourine for a few numbers. You do not realize how restrained and professional I'm trying to be right now, I was (and still am to be honest) a complete mess and do not know how to deal with the situation.

And I don't think the world is either. Just search Duchovny and/or Anderson into Google and you'll see what I mean.

And due to this, I'll be posting my rewatch next week. This was way more important to post than that. The rewatch can wait whilst I bask in the glory of this:
