Single Review | 'American Dreamin' | Thee MVPs (2018)

credit: thee mvps

A total beach jam carried by an infectious bassline, garage rock band Thee MVPs are totally proving that rock and roll is not dead, and the American dream is still thriving... somewhat. The aptly named 'American Dreamin' is an excellent mixture of punk and lo-fi, that fuses their love of the spectrum that is the rock genre.

Carried by a Californian Ramones vibe mixed with the sounds of MC5, 'American Dreamin' will have you dancing like you're on Venice Beach at sunset. Seriously, it's that good. I mean, Thee MVPs have already been touring with the surf rock and lo-fi greats like Twin Peaks, Ty Segall, Cosmonauts, METZ, and Dead Meadow.

The likes of Gene Simmons say that rock and roll is dead, but you've just gotta know where to look. With Thee MVPs, it certainly hasn't. Basically, Simmons can suck it.

Thee MVPs' 'American Dreamin' is available to stream and download now.
